Crossing Canada for Katimavik / La Traversée du Canada pour Katimavik

Crossing Canada for Katimavik is a national relay starting in Iqaluit Nunavut and passing through up to 50 Katimavik host communities across Canada to Ottawa Ontario. This non-partisan relay hopes inform and engage Canadians to support the reinstatement of Federal funding for Katimavik OPCAN Corporation and to enhance stature of the organization within Canada. The 2012 Budget Bill C-38; the “Jobs, Growth and Long-term Prosperity Act” abruptly terminated $14,000,000 in funding for this program.  All Canadians who support the ideals of Katimavik are welcome to participate.
 
 
La Traversée du Canada pour Katimavik est un relais national de départ à Iqaluit au Nunavut et en passant par un maximum de 50 communautés d’accueil de Katimavik à travers le Canada à Ottawa, en Ontario. Cette espoirs relais non-partisanes informer et faire participer les Canadiens à soutenir la réintégration du financement fédéral pour Katimavik OPCAN Société et de renforcer la stature de l’organisation au sein du Canada. Le 2012 Budget du projet de loi C-38, le “emploi, la croissance et la Loi sur la prospérité à long terme” brusquement interrompu 14.000.000 $ en financement de ce programme. Tous les Canadiens qui appuient les idéaux de Katimavik sont invités à participer.

  1. When will the relay be coming to Brantford, Ontario? I am Brantford’s Official Town Crier and would like to vociferously ring in the relay. Actually, the organizers would be wise to find out which of the communities have Town Criers and request their audible presence as the relay goes through.
